3: Introduction to Indian Classical Music**

  • Understanding the basic concepts of Indian classical music (Raga, Tala, etc.)
  •  Introduction to the seven basic swaras (notes) and microtones (Gamakas)
  •  Learning to play and recognize the Swaras on the violin

4: Finger Placement and Shifting**

  • Mastering proper finger placement on the fingerboard
  • Learning to shift between different positions smoothly
  • Practicing exercises for intonation and finger dexterity

5: Indian Classical Ragas on Violin**

  •  Introduction to major Ragas and their characteristics
  •  Learning the Arohana (ascending) and Avarohana (descending) of Ragas
  •  Practicing Alankars and melodic patterns in Ragas on the violin

  •  Accompanying Tabla or other percussion instruments to practice rhythm
